A healthy, sustainable breakfast@school in Belgium.
Today our school organised a healthy breakfast at our rotonde, the central hall of the school to support an NGO called Broederlijk Delen.
Bread, cheese, apple, banana, milk, chocolate paste (sorry, we're Belgian!), yoghurt,...
Allmost all the product came from the local Oxfam Shop or other local shops. Sustainable products, indeed.
After the breakfast pupils got a lot of info on a project in Peru to support local farmers against gold mining in their region near Cuzco.
To raise some funding our pupils sold flowers in the streets of Oostkamp.

The end of the exchange in Oostkamp: many, many, many thanks!!
It have been 4-5 very intense days, but I think we can conclude that our exchange in Oostkamp, Belgium was quite a succes.
So now there is time for some words of gratitude:
Thank you:
Pupils from Norway, Spain and Belgium,... you were great! I think you connected really well.
The teachers from Norway and Spain: we were so glad we could exchange experiences. It was great to see that these colleagues have same drive to educate pupils!
Many thanks to all the host families for accepting the challenge to have a foreign pupil at home. All our guests had a warm welcome and a pleasant stay thanks to the efforts of all of you!
Thanks to all the colleagues who worked in front of / behind the scenes! Principals, teachers and the staff of the administration who prepared the activities, the lessons, the food, the excursions, etc.
Thank you very much, indeed! J.Jacobus
